Q. Upon taking my camera out of the packaging, I noticed that the front of it seems to be scratched quite badly.
A. There is a thin protective layer over the front of the camera to protect it during shipping. Until it is removed this cover may give the appearance of scratching.
Q. When I attempt to load an additional software package after installing the camera driver and Snap N Save, the following error message occurs:

      Error number: 0x80070725
      Description: Incompatible version of the RPC stub

Q. How do I take 3 continuous picture shots at once using my Model Shotz camera?
A.
1. Continuous shooting will only work if the camera is set to 2.0 Mega pixels. To do this make sure the mode dial located on top of the camera is set to the red camera. Press the 'ok' button to get a menu display. Select 2.0-mega pixels from the menu and press ok.
2. To select the continuous shooting mode simply press the timer button twice so you get a picture of a box coming up on the screen.
3. When you take your photos keep your finger down on the button and it will take up to 3 shots continuously.
Q. When I plug my Model Shotz camera into my computer it says 'No camera detected'.
A.
1. If you have Windows 98 Install the drivers located on the Shotz CD-ROM. For any other operating system you do not need the drivers. Once the CD-ROM is in the drive a main menu will appear, select 'Install camera driver' and follow the on-screen instructions then restart your machine if necessary.
2. Turn the camera on.
3. Turn the settings dial located on the top of the camera to the settings mode.
4. Scroll across to get to the 'PC Mode'.
5. Select 'DSC' and press OK.
6. Install Shotz Snap 'n' Save.
7. Insert the USB cable into the camera and computer.
8. Under Window 98 only, you have to click on the Snap 'N' Save icon in the System Tray (by the clock) and click Download Now. Other versions of Windows should auto-detect the insertion of the camera, if not perform the Download Now action above.
Q. I have done the above still the same message appears.
A.
1. If you are using windows 98/ME check the device has been given a drive letter under My Computer.
2. Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - System - Device Manager. Click the plus sign next to 'Disk Drives' hopefully you should see 200_Camera or USBDSC. If you are not seeing this then there could be a problem with your USB port or cable.
3. Right click on 200_Camera and go to Properties. Click the Settings tab up the top of the window.
4. If under 'Current drive letter assignment' there is a drive letter name, go to My Computer and click the Removable Disk, then double click 'DCIM' then 200D-CAM, all the pictures are stored in there.
5. If there is no current drive letter, select a free drive letter from the Start drive letter drop down box, and chose the same letter from the End drive letter box and then press OK.
6. After doing that it will prompt you to restart your machine, click OK.
Q. How do I use the model Shotz camera as a web cam?
A.
1. Turn the camera on
2. Turn the settings dial located on the top of the camera to the settings mode (black tick)
3. Scroll across to get to 'PC Mode'
4. Select 'PC CAM' and press OK.
5. Insert the Shotz imaging CD
6. If the CD does not auto run, go into my computer and double click the CD ROM drive.
7. Click 'Install camera driver'
8. This screen should appear.
9. Click Yes
10. After installing the drivers restart the machine.
11. Plug in your Model Shotz camera
12. The Found New Hardware Wizard will appear.
13. Click 'Install software automatically'
14. A Microsoft warning wizard may appear, click 'Continue Anyway'
15. Click Finish
16. The Found New Hardware Wizard may appear again if so repeat step 13 to 15
17. Double click My Computer, there should be an icon that says 'Digital camera WDM video capture'
18. You are now ready to use your Model Shotz camera as a web cam.
Q. I have a Model Shotz camera and I use an SD card and its not being recognised.
A. Try formatting the card, if the problem still persists contact the card manufacturer as it may be faulty.
Q. How to you use NetMeeting with the Model Shotz?
A. To get the camera in the correct mode for using it as a web cam, follow these instructions:
1. Turn the camera on.
2. Turn the settings dial located on the top of the camera to the settings mode.
3. Scroll across to get to the 'PC Mode'.
4. Select 'PC CAM' and press OK.
5. Insert the USB cable into the camera and computer.
6. The computer now recognises the camera as a web cam.

Next insert the advanced digital image application software CD-ROM. Select 'Windows NetMeeting' and click install. It will then bring up a message box verifying weather you wish to install NetMeeting. Click yes and follow the onscreen instructions.

Load up Windows NetMeeting and fill in the form that it displays. It will then load up the main window.

You need to know your I.P address in order to make contact with another user; this helps your machine to communicate with another machine. To obtain your own IP address simply click help, then click 'about Windows NetMeeting' your I.P address is located at the bottom of the screen

To link to another computer in a network or over the Internet either yourself dials a computer to connect to, or the other person dials to you trying to connect to your machine. In this instance we are going to connect to another machine.

1. Click the file tab, then click 'New call':
2. In the 'To' box type in the other machines I.P address that you are trying to connect to, then click call.
3. The other users machine you are trying to connect to will bring up a message box showing the other user that you are trying to their machine. Once they accept, the two computers are connected to each other. In order for you to see the other user and for the other user to see you, click the tab 'Tool' then click video then click send and receive.
4. You should now see the other person on the other machine, and they should see you. If you want to see yourself then simply click the tab 'View' then click 'My Video' and that will bring up a small window of yourself:
5. If you have a microphone then you will be able to speak to the other user, to configure your microphone click 'Tools' then click options.
6. If another user wishes to connect to your machine then a message box will appear
7. Click 'Accept' then both computers are connected. Then to see the other user click 'Tools' then click 'Video', then 'Receive'.
Q. On my Model Shotz camera I get a battery display come up, and a noise coming from the camera.
A. Replace the batteries as they are running low.
Q. How do you format the internal memory/SD card?
A.
1. Switch camera on.
2. Make sure the dial is on the green Play Back mode.
3. Press OK.
4. Scroll down to Format.
5. Press OK.
6. Press OK again to confirm.
